“It’s okay to not be okay.” – Ansa Ahmed

If you’re feeling like the whole world and life itself is too much or that you just cannot cope at times with whatever it is that you may be struggling with at present, then trust me to help you find the way through what may seem like a dark path or place at times. As a trained counsellor I am here to listen to you unconditionally and not judge anything that you may wish to bring to your therapy sessions and believe you me – I am not easily shocked! I am here to hopefully offer you respect and empathy in a confidential space and help you face the world more confidently.

I am fluent in many languages: English, Urdu, Punjabi, Pahari, Mirpuri, Hindi.

It’s a wonderful service and Ansa was very patient and supportive towards my needs and lack of therapy knowledge. She strengthened my weakness and showed me respect and the clients welcomed her working approach.

I was new to group therapy and I have learnt a lot of positive ways of working. I shall look forward to future group work through HOPE.

Testimony – Charity

Ansa was very approachable and caring from day one. She understood my situation, listened to my needs and worked alongside me to enable me to manage myself, my emotions and how to deal with upcoming situations. Ansa showed me breathing techniques which enabled me to calm down from being anxious and upset (and I still do them now when I’m feeling ‘on edge’).

Ansa gave me a colouring book and pencils on the first day, encouraging me to colour as it is a theraputic way to take your mind off things, and even today I have it in a routine that even if it’s once a week, I sit and colour for about 30 minutes. My partner knows when I’m a little more upset or anxious as I will sit and colour and he knows to leave me until I’ve finished having ‘my own time’. (more…)
